The NUHW has not earned the right to take your money. Forced union dues are UN-American. Deauthorizing removes the “union security clause” that forces you to pay and forces your employer to TERMINATE you if you don’t. Yes, you can be fired if you do not pay union dues.

Money that should go for gas, groceries or childcare. Money you worked hard for.

Download and sign the Deauthorization petition, pass it around and collect as many as you can.

Removing the union security clause allows those who support the union to pay dues. If you decide the union does not provide better working conditions, better pay, better better benefits and a better all around working environment for you then don’t pay. You keep your job and your money.

What is a DEAUTHORIZATION?
Deathorization Election: This is a vote to remove the forced unionism clause or union security clause from the union contract. A deauthorization election has only one purpose and effect: to remove the forced-unionism clause from the contract. The remainder of the contract, including all wages and benefits, remains in effect and the union continues to serve as the exclusive bargaining representative, whether or not the employees pay any dues or fees. Even after a successful deathorization, every employee remains fully covered by the contract, whether or not he or she remains a union member or pays any dues.

Dosha employees have a rare second chance, now that you have seen how CWA 7901 operates is this what you really wanted?

To the professionals of Dosha Salon Spa. Please consider carefully your rights and the reality of joining a labor union such as the Communications Workers of America Local 7901. Aligning with a labor unions removes your ability as an individual and as a professional to negotiate for yourself and places it in the hands of a labor union whose interests are only to make money for the labor union. Remember labor unions themselves are a business. Their business is to make you believe you need them, pull you in and then charge you for their “protection”. Labor unions perpetuate the mediocre, the weak, demanding equal pay regardless of output. Those of you who put the most into your profession, the most into your customer service skills, the most into your craft will get the same rewards as those who give much much less. Joining a labor union is easy. Removing a labor union is nearly impossible. When the labor union calls a strike are you willing to walk off the job and picket? Did you know that when you strike you do not get paid, cannot collect sick pay or vacation time? Do your research, check the facts before you vote. Vote NO!

Cooper University Hospital Employees

Are you willing to place everything you already have on the bargaining table?

Negotiations are a give and take process, what are you willing to give up?

What are they going to take?

If you don’t get what you want and what you have is taken from you, where do you go then?

Think long, think hard, take a look around. Talk to someone you trust.

Is this the right choice? Is this the right time?

This decision affects you, this decision affects your family.

This decision could change everything

This decision Is yours!

Vote NO, April 29th 2011

The Union Says You Won’t Lose Compensation & Benefits

At the Bargaining Table?

Here is what the LAW says:

Does Cooper have to agree to union demands?

“…There is no requirement in the Act that an employer accedes to all union demands or, after bargaining, retain all current benefits”.
Oxford Pickles, Division of John E. Cain Co., 190 NLRB. No 24

Do the benefits have to necessarily continue?

“There is, of course, no obligation on the part of the employer to continue all existing benefits, nor is it an unfair labor practice to offer reduced benefits…”

Can the union give away benefits we already have?

“…in the give and take of bargaining, [a] union might give up insurance, holidays or vacation time to obtain dues check (payroll deduction) from the employer”.
La-Z-Boy,281 NLRB, No 54, 123 LRRM 1205 (1986)

Are there any guarantees at all in the collective bargaining process?

“Collective bargaining is potentially hazardous for employees, and as a result of negotiations, employees could possibly wind up with less benefits after unionization than before”.
Coach & Equipment Sales, 2218 NLRB No. 51

Vote Neither! April 29th!

Not Voting = YES

The unions sometimes misinform employees by telling them they do not need to vote unless they are voting for the union. This is an absolute lie and is the exact opposite of the truth. The truth is, the unions depend on apathetic employees to do nothing.

The unions only need 50% + 1 of the votes cast to win. This means if only 10 people make the effort to vote and 6 vote yes, every single eligible employee (over 700) will be subject to the union contract and could be paying dues whether you agree or not!!

VOTE NO! April 29th
