Here’s the latest: they dropped their rehash…. then after the Board contacted our petitioner and told her that and asked her about possible dates, she told them age wanted a fair amount of time to campaign. They were supposed to get back to her…… then nothing. For a long time.
Then the rumors of a date started. But the Board hadn’t contacted the petitioner. And they weren’t returning her calls. I called. The Board agent said there wasn’t a date yet.
Then more rumors of that same date. And they still weren’t returning the petitioner’s calls. {Sigh} i called again. I finally got a call back Tuesday. There apparently had been a new block and it was just lifted that day and letters were going out to all three parties. There’s a hearing this Friday. HOPEFULLY, we will get an election date assigned if one isn’t agreed upon by then.
…and come to find out, the agent still listed as handling our case no longer works for the Board and all our petitioner’s calls were going straight to their unattended voice mail box!
Oh! And one of our biggest Freedom Fighters got a call the other night from a blocked number threatening him if he didn’t stop campaigning against them.

The Union lost their complaint against the hospital, then tried to rehash the SAME COMPLAINT to further stall. Now FINALLY, we are on the verge of having our freedom, but everybody has to VOTE!
WE HAVE THE MAJORITY, we just need to show up!

I didn’t join, but I didn’t care if there was a union or not. But when Bea got made to go to retire because of them, I got mad! She was for them, she was a stewered for them. And When she got sick and had to start seeing a doctor to try to get better, the atendence policy in the contract would have got her fired over it, so she had to go ahead and retire before she was ready. Yeh, and they didn’t get us no big raises like they said and they didn’t get us no big retirement like they said. All they got us was stuck in there contract nobody likes! I want them GONE, they’re no good.

There’s no chance to vote YET. The SEIU filed something against the hospital that has nothing to do with us wanting out of their Union, but they’re using it to block and delay our chance to vote them out! There ain’t even half of us signed and a lot of them want out. The only reason they got to stay last time we tried to vote them out is because not enough people showed up to vote. They didn’t realize how important it is. Everybody’s excited about the chance to vote this time!

Don’t let these bullies scare you! We have the right to not be represented by this union.
We, as employees, have the right to campaign against the union whether management likes it or not! WEAR YOUR BUTTONS PROUDLY! Management can ask you to take them off but YOU DON’T HAVE TO AND YOU CANNOT GET IN TROUBLE FOR REFUSING. It is our federally protected right to fight for or against a union. visit http://www.nrtw.org if you need more information about this. You don’t have to believe me. The National Right to Work is a free legal service for employees like us who don’t want to be forced into a union.
