Some of us are for the union and some of us are not....We believe that John Harris is serious about addressing concerns and improving the quality of care and the quality of work life at Southwest. We want to give Gino and John six months to evaluate whether they are sincere. At the same time we want to evaluate whether the unions promises are sincere by watching what happens at Corona, and Chino Valley where there is still no contract. We request the union withdraw its petition without prejudice to re-file, and consult with us within six months before refilling.

This has been nothing but a nightmare here at IV/RS. I can’t wait until Thursday and Friday to vote them out. I called over to Chinno Valley they told me that they don’t have a union. How can you lie and say you have something and you don’t. Hopefully they don’t lie and say they have one with IV/RS because all the nurses are voting ‘NO’. Please leave our organization alone we are doing fine without you.

  2. Ruby July 15, 2013 at 10:16 #

I called Chinno Valley a few times. I talked to Andrea and I spoke with Phillip, both ICU nurses, They are so happy to be rid of these liars! They told me all the union did for 3 years was string them along and lie to them. They are truly hoping we don’t make the same mistake they did!!
I really like our new CEO, Brad. He is a nurse! Non of these UNAC organizers are nurses!
I believe in Brad and Melissa and their vision for our hospitals. These UNION people have no idea what its like at the bedside, they just want our money.
Please call Chino Valley yourself if you don’t know who to believe.
VOTE NO this Thursday and Friday!!

  3. Jennifer July 15, 2013 at 09:42 #

I called Chino Valley myself. UNAC is out. Everybody has to vote NO. We need to get rid of the liars!!!

  4. Angie July 15, 2013 at 09:16 #

So another lie by UNAC uncovered, I called Chino Valley myself and the nurses there tell me that UNAC is OUT. There is NO contract and there is no longer a union at Chino Valley. The HR lady I called also confirmed that the nurses at Chino Valley do not pay union dues. So far Gino has been straight up with us and the union is telling us not to trust him?
My mind is made up. VOTE NO! Lets get rid of the liers once and for all.

  5. David Bond July 12, 2013 at 00:20 #

UNAC you dudes are wasting your time trying to get to IV/RS we don’t need you . Go away.
We nurses have decided not to have you and your weird rules around.
We will vote NO NO NO !!!!

  6. shaunadean June 30, 2013 at 13:14 #

Oh my gosh!!! My first day back to work the other day and this is starting all over again? I was hoping that UNAC finally got the hint and went away. All they want is money and it’s MINE. I work hard for it and don’t need to give it to someone else. Gino and Melissa have been working hard from what I see to try and address all of our issues and concerns. I hope our nurses are smarter than what the union is making them out to be. If you vote for the union you are not a self thinker but instead a follower. I don’t know about you but if I was a patient I want someone taking care of me that can think for themselves and not just follow the tail of the person in front of them.

I just found out that those union nurses who brag about getting 2 raises a year at union hospitals don’t realize that benefits management MORE than employees. Instead of giving the whole raise at one time, the union agreed to have management hold on to half that money for six months and gain interest. The union then spins that to employees like its a good idea…SHEEPLE WAKE UP!!!

  8. Carlos June 28, 2013 at 13:54 #

The people that are pro union here are not true representatives of our nurses or the nursing profession. The union supporters are weak minded and have been coddled by union organizers and brain washed into thinking the union can help them. These people are just sad unhappy people looking for their 15 minutes of fame and a soapbox to stand on.
Take your sad sack act on the road and maybe get a registry or travel assignment somewhere until you find a place you can feel happy instead of bringing your pathetic selves here everyday and spreading your misery to the rest of us.

  9. Michelle June 25, 2013 at 08:06 #

I have been speaking with lots of nurses at IVMC and no one want this BS …union to ever come back. We do not need a union and all the crappy rules that they impose …get your people and leave . WE STAND FOR OUR HOSPITAL AGAINST THE UNION

    • Michelle June 25, 2013 at 08:08 #

WE DO NOT WANT UNION AND ALL THEIR CRAPPY RULES……..

  10. Joan June 24, 2013 at 18:54 #

Management has been helping us out. Why do we need this union to do nothing but take our money in these bad economic times. Like they are going to make things better that is a laugh. God help us get these fat cats out of here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. A union fighter June 24, 2013 at 08:01 #

I have been at IVMC in 05 when we got rid of CNA …..WE will do the same to unac this time around. NO UNION at IVMC/RSMC

  12. David June 24, 2013 at 07:48 #

I thought this union and the leeches that support it finally got the hint. You guys are as dense as they come. Nothing good can come from associating with these criminals and bloodsuckers. Our time, money and energy is better spent on positive things.

  13. John Bond June 24, 2013 at 07:39 #

Ok people this union nonsense need to STOP we are sick and tired of this Union BS
STOP this sh%&t and go knock in someone`s door cuz we nurses at RANCHO SPRINGS MEDICAL CENTER we will vote you OFF for good.U union people need to stop this crap and go get a real job instead u want our $$$ so you can go to lavish vacations and “conferences” all over the country on my $$$. This will NOT happen.

  14. Theresa January 29, 2013 at 19:22 #

All of you have been blessed and I hope you know it. Under UNAC it’s been a loosing battle unless you are Kaiser and then it is all about how long you’ve been there and who you know. They will keep the pressure on you though. You have a chance now. Take it

  15. Sarha January 28, 2013 at 18:04 #

So now what is happening? I am being told that the vote is canceled

  16. Sarha January 28, 2013 at 11:10 #

Why do hear the union organizers say we are grasping at straws? Why are they so upset? Are they changing their mind? Why the secret meeting at Corona this morning?

  17. Jesse January 28, 2013 at 10:41 #

I didn’t believe them at first and now I am sure thatI will not join the UNAC union. Everyone that wants the union are just mad all the time anyway. They will never ever ever be happy. I have a good job here. I live so close and don’t want to see things go bad. The union will make it harder to work here.

  18. sara January 25, 2013 at 20:08 #

OH yeh! I too am waiting for the whole constitution for UNAC.

  19. sara January 25, 2013 at 20:08 #

WOW! I was shocked to see that this was all the posts that there was. I was hoping there would be a lot more. I don’t know why anyone would want a union at inland. I just worked registry at corona the other day and could not believe the division that I had seen. The hospital is still in ruins after the vote. The union has done nothing. All I heard was nurses complaining that they didn’t want the union there because it has only made things worse and they wish they could change their votes now. Many nurses that voted yes wanted to change their vote. Being that I was originally for the union here at southwest I was shocked at what I had found. I will definitely be changing my vote to no come our vote here at Inland. If any of you are still undecided, just take a walk around Corona regional and ask the nurses what they think. After that you’ll definitely vote NO!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!

  20. ShaunaDean January 25, 2013 at 18:40 #

So, I too am waiting for the ENTIRE constitution. You can drop it off to 2 west IF you ever get the whole version. Give it to any nurse, we all want to see it. It’s amazing how VoiceSeekingTruth can sit and lie to us all on here and say that he/she (which ever union person you are) has the entire constitution, yet I have yet to see one complete copy. Where are they and what truth are you seeking? Cause if you ask me the Union has yet to answer anything truthful. I sure hope you’re not using the union as your guide for truth, they are full of nothing but lies and bull*^!%..

  21. Ann January 24, 2013 at 21:59 #

I just want to say I am disappointed at how divided the “union” has made us and judging by the supporters of UNAC and the attitude of the people that work for the union I can only say that a “union” this will never ever be. This divide and conquer emotional rhetoric is absolutely garbage. This is no way for true caring professionals to behave. Shame on all of you. These people are not out to make this a better place and they have no vested interest in it. All they want is to make money and more money for the union and themselves. They are paying our own people to convince you to vote for the union. How sincere is that? our friends making money off lying to you and playing off your emotions? Are you kidding me right now?

    • John Bond June 24, 2013 at 07:45 #

      ABSOLUTELY CORECT.

  22. Ledy445 January 22, 2013 at 16:51 #

Thank you. Please leave the copy of page 26 of the constitution in Day Surgery and Inland. I’ll pick it up tomorrow

    • Ledy445 January 24, 2013 at 16:46 #

I am still looking for the missing page 26 of the constitution. When can you drop it off?

  23. VoiceSeekingTruth January 22, 2013 at 14:27 #

To respond to the repost from Sherwood that Emily made. I was the Embassy Meeting as well and I did not see anyone kicked out. There were people coming and going throughout the meeting so please don’t misinform people reading your post. The union reps answered all questions posed. They even had some documents to back up their answers when snyone questioned them! Are you sure you’re not management or one of the attorneys posing as an RN?
Ledy445, I took several copies of the constitution to take back into the unit. All of mine had page 26! Tell me what unit you work so that I can drop off a copy for you!

  24. Sherwood January 18, 2013 at 19:44 #

Emily Posted this in the main forum and I believe it belongs here.

    Bogus Union Meeting

So I went to the union meeting last night at Embassy Suites. I have to admit I was extremely dissapointed. I attended the hospital’s union training and had a lot of questions I wanted to ask at the union meeting. The union reps were not very forthcoming with their answers. It seemed to me that they didn’t even answer the our questions. I was told in the hospital training that the union and the hospital don’t ever have to agree to a contract and yet the union says otherwise. Funny that it’s right there in black in white in the NLRB website that neither party ever has to agree. There was a nurse there, would like to know from which hospital and her name becuase I would like to call her. She called the union reps out on their lies and they were very rude to her. I saw her leave early, I hope she wasn’t kicked out. What message would that send? Really for all nurses huh? There was a girl from corona there to speak. She’s saying how everything is so wonderful there now that the union is in, but yet they haven’t even been certified yet. How wonderful could things be, they are still frozen?

UNAC said they could guarantee more CNAs, how can they do that when it’s not even a bargaining issue?

I have so many questions yet don’t seem to be getting any answers from UNAC. Only round a bout statements full of half truths and empty promises.

I might be enclined to believe these, in fact i would vote yes if they would give me everything in writing as to what they guarantee without getting anything of mine taken away.

It’s easy to promise the world when you have nothing to lose.

  25. Ledy445 January 18, 2013 at 18:32 #

I got a copy of the constitution, but the page 26 is missing! Table of contents says “trials and appeals” this is discipline the union can leverage on its members!!!!!!!
Why would THAT page be missing?

  26. Theresa January 16, 2013 at 19:54 #

    Vote Yes.

  27. Terry January 16, 2013 at 19:49 #

    Jane,
Just as Monica or Thor. I also hear David Colmer in the ED at Inland Valley has a copy or can make you one. I want one too.

making the world a better place one step at a time 😉

  28. Jane January 16, 2013 at 19:12 #

I keep hearing that I should vote for UNAC to represent us at Rancho. I have questions that no one seems to be able to answer and I want to read the the bylaws of UNAC.
How do I get a copy of the bylaws? Who among us has a copy that I can copy please?

    Thank you so much!
